Feb 11, 2016 Thanks for the update. Quicken Windows and Quicken Mac are two different Quicken clients; the same is true within products (Windows or Mac) by different product years (ex: Quicken Windows 2014 is a different Client than Quicken Windows 2016). Using Quicken Deluxe 2016 for Windows. Running through Parallels on a Mac. Can't log onto my bank through Online Center. When I open the Center and click the Update/Send button, a window opens asking me to enter my Intuit id. When I do it, a blue circle spins, and Quicken shuts down. Donb1951 Created on February 7, 2016. Windows 10: Can't access the internet for Quicken registration process Original title: 3rd party software. I can't authenticate or register Quicken in windows 10. Can't access the internet from Quicken registration process. Same problem with other 3rd party programs. Current accounts for Quicken for Mac 2015 and 2016. Select the Accounts menu in Quicken, then New. Select Investments. And enter your Vanguard user name as the Customer ID. After setting up your accounts, you'll need to download transactions using the One Step Update process. You'll need to create a new register to download.
Sequence: (Date of this post: 7/19/2016) OS --> win 7, latest updates as of April 2016 Machine has 2 accounts. One set up with Administrator rights, the other normal user. 1) Updated to Quicken 2016. Worked perfectly. 2) Upgraded to Win 10 min May 2016.
Both Accounts worked perfectly. Version 1151 (OS Build 10586.494) WIN10 from here on. 3) Quicken 2016 continued to work perfectly under both accounts. Quicken 2016 is used in the normal user account virtually ALWAYS. 4) On July 19, 2016, Quicken failed to start. Runs for 1/2 second & ends. (normal user account).
[After having run perfectly for 6+ weeks) 5) Called Quicken support (LONG wait time). Down loaded NEW copy of Quicken 2016 6) Un-installed, the cleared quicken old version (their utitlty), then installed Quicken 2016 again.
Change mac address kindle fire. Same result as in (4). 7) Switched (logged on) to ADMIN account. Quicken2016 works perfectly. 8) In normal user account, Quicken2016 will run when 'Run as Administrator' option is chosen.
HOWEVER download of transaction from my financial institution will not work. Quicken displays disclaimer that the program is not supported in this mode. YET is runs when I switch to the ADMIN account. Quicken indicated it's working on that.
HOWEVER the problem is that Quicken2016 used to work in my win10 environment - normal user account (YESTERDAY. Best pdf editor for mac 2018 free. 7/18/2016) and does not work now. Does anyone know if this is a Win10 o/s issue? NOTE --- ** In normal user account - - when I run 'troubleshoot compatibilty', qw.exe is not compatible *** Thanks. We know it's frustrating when things don't work as expected.
Let me assist you to resolve the issue. This may be due to the corrupted files present in your system.
We suggest you to Perform System restore which takes your PC back to an earlier point in time when the program or software was working fine. Restore points are generated when you install a new app, driver, or Windows update Windows 10's System Restore tool lets you do is revert to a previous software, registry, and driver configuration, called a restore point. It's like 'undoing' the last major change to Windows 10.
Follow the steps from Restore your PC to an earlier point in time from the below link: Note: Though it is said that System Restore does not affect your personal information such as email, documents, photos, videos, etc., but there is highly possible that some of your personal files are deleted while system restoring. During System Restore, there may be errors and such errors may cause damage to the files that are present in the system. And, computer shutdown during restoring process may also lead to file loss. Sometimes when System Restore is failed, it may lead to loss of important files as well.
Hope this helps, let us know the status of the issue. Rakesh C N Microsoft Community.
Your financial institution requires 'enrollment' or 'registration' with them for a software application that wants to connect to their servers and retrieve data. This most commonly occurs with Direct Connect activated accounts, as Quicken is connecting directly to those servers rather than an intermediate service (Quicken Connect) which is already 'allowed' by the financial institution (FI). If you can Reply to this Answer and provide the name of the FI (do NOT provide login credentials, account numbers or other personal identifying information, just the bank name), we can get you a definite response complete with suggested procedure for resolving the error. Thanks for the update. The information I find for Golden 1 is sketchy, so you may need to confirm with a call to their Online Banking Support (877-GOLDEN 1). What I found says to log into their website, go to your User Preferences section and choose 'Download directly to Quicken'.
